The Senior BIM Technician supports water and wastewater engineering projects by developing high-quality Revit models, construction documents, plan sets, details, and related project deliverables. Working closely with engineers, designers, and project managers, this position translates engineering designs and concepts into accurate and coordinated construction documents.

This is a part-time position ideal for an experienced BIM professional seeking a flexible work schedule while continuing to contribute to meaningful water and wastewater projects. The Senior BIM Technician works independently, manages assigned deadlines, assists with QA/QC, resolves routine BIM issues, and may provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.

• Develop and maintain Revit models and construction documents for water and wastewater infrastructure projects from preliminary design through final plan production.
• Work with engineers and designers to translate design concepts, sketches, redlines, and technical information into accurate Revit models and drawings.
• Produce plan sets, profiles, sections, details, schedules, and other project deliverables for water distribution, sanitary sewer, lift stations, pump stations, wastewater treatment, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate Revit models and drawings with other disciplines and identify potential conflicts or inconsistencies.
• Complete redlines, revisions, and drawing updates with minimal supervision.
• Perform QA/QC of personal work and assist with reviewing the work of less experienced BIM technicians.
• Set up and maintain Revit project files, views, sheets, templates, families, and other project-specific BIM components.
• Assist with maintaining and improving Revit standards, templates, workflows, and production procedures.
• Troubleshoot routine Revit and BIM issues and communicate more complex issues to the appropriate technical resource.
• Communicate project progress, workload, deadlines, and technical challenges with project team members.
• Manage assigned workload and priorities to meet project schedules.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior BIM technicians as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of Revit, BIM practices, and water/wastewater industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree in drafting, design, engineering technology, or related field and 3+ years of progressively complex BIM/Revit experience; or
• High school diploma/GED and 6+ years of progressively complex BIM/Revit experience; or
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience producing construction documents in a civil engineering environment, preferably water/wastewater.
• Understanding of engineering drafting practices, terminology, and construction documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans, sketches, specifications, and redlines and translate them into accurate Revit models and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned deadlines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience with water distribution, sanitary sewer, lift stations, pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, or related utility projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary Revit models.
• Experience developing and maintaining Revit families, templates, and project standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Bluebeam.
• Experience training or mentoring less experienced BIM technicians.

Part-Time Schedule

• Part-time schedule of approximately [20–30] hours per week.
• Flexible scheduling available within established project and team requirements.
• Schedule may be coordinated around the candidate's availability while ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Overtime is not anticipated as a regular part of the position.
