Overview

The Senior Construction Manager provides construction management and contract administration services for projects. This may include on-site service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments. This may include supervising a staff of CM professionals, inspectors and other project staff as needed to ensure the on-site implementation of project, schedules, budget, design, and quality deliverables.
  • Manages all budgets, schedules, scope development, construction contracts, documents, procedures, controls for assigned projects.
  • May coordinate and manage subconsultants and other support services, as needed.
  • Implements processes for monitoring and reviewing communication and decision-making across the project.
  • Manages the review and approval process for consultant invoices and contractor pay applications and change orders.
  • Reviews, monitors, and facilitates resolution of project variances with the construction project plans and site conditions and acts to remediate as needed.
  • Maintains reports, documents, and records using project and electronic software.
  • May assist with project billings and collections.
  • Responsible for the enforcement of contract documents including plans and specifications.
  • Demonstrates effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification, assessment, earned value tracking, and communication.
  • Leads project meetings with contractor and stakeholders.
  • Builds cooperative/collaborative partnerships between client, contractors, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.
  • Identifies and mitigates risk associated with construction phasing based on project specific parameters such as personnel, materials, equipment, or geographical location.
  • Leads collaborative efforts in resolving complex construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and recognized industry certification including but not limited to: PMP, CMAA, ACCM.

OR

  • PE License – State of Texas.

AND

  • A minimum of 10 years of construction/construction PM experience in progressively challenging construction projects performing construction management.
