Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Land Development Project Engineer to join our civil engineering team in North Texas. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to lead the planning, design, and execution of complex land development and infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Apply prescribed engineering methods and techniques to moderately complex engineering and construction assignments.

  • Manage the planning and design of multiple land development projects, including coordination with public and private clients.

  • Lead and coordinate multiple project teams working on simultaneous assignments across different stages.

  • Participate in client design meetings, present technical information, and assist in nurturing strong client relationships.

  • Perform and coordinate field-based activities such as construction services support, inspections, and site reviews.

  • Manage and oversee project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards, schedules, and budget constraints.

  • Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and proposals in support of contract negotiations.

  • Collaborate closely with senior staff to sustain and grow client relationships and business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering/science field.

  • 5+ years of civil design experience with a strong focus on land development, utility, and municipal infrastructure projects in Central Texas.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas.

  • Strong knowledge of city, county, and utility project standards, permitting processes, and design regulations.

  • Valid Texas driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a client-first approach.
