We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our dynamic and growing Houston team. This role is a key part of a collaborative, cross-functional team delivering critical infrastructure solutions that improve public health and community resilience. You will manage and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of a wide range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations, odor control systems, water wells, and utility system expansions.
This is a leadership opportunity for a motivated engineering professional who enjoys both technical challenges and client engagement.
Serve as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary project team, working closely with engineers, planners, sub-consultants, and clients.
Manage full project life cycles—from initial planning and feasibility through design, permitting, bidding, construction support, and close-out.
Lead the design and project management of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, water wells, odor control systems, and related infrastructure.
Conduct or oversee technical studies, master planning, evaluations, and rehabilitation strategies for municipal water/wastewater systems.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Track and manage the financial performance of multiple projects, including forecasting, invoicing, and budget reporting.
Prepare and review project reports, technical memoranda, specifications, and design documents.
Coordinate with internal teams and external sub-consultants to ensure alignment with technical, quality, cost, and schedule goals.
Participate in the development of proposals, scopes of work, and presentations to support business development and client engagement.
Serve as part of the client management team, fostering strong relationships and identifying future opportunities.
Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices while continuously expanding professional expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in any U.S. state with the ability to obtain Texas P.E. licensure within 6 months.
Prior experience in water/wastewater system design and project management (treatment plants, pump/lift stations, wells, etc.).
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and design standards for municipal utilities.
Excellent project management, communication, and coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of project management and engineering design software preferred.
