We are seeking an experienced and motivated Municipal Project Engineer to join our growing civil engineering team serving Central Texas. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer (or soon to be licensed) who enjoys managing a mix of municipal infrastructure and utility projects, working closely with city and county clients, and contributing to the growth and success of public works initiatives throughout the region.
As a Project Engineer, you will lead design efforts, manage project teams, and serve as a technical resource across a wide range of public infrastructure assignments. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of civil engineering services.
Apply standard engineering methods and techniques to moderately complex engineering and construction assignments.
Manage the planning and design of municipal infrastructure projects for both public and private clients.
Lead and coordinate multiple project teams across concurrent assignments, ensuring technical quality and consistency.
Participate in design meetings and maintain effective communication with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Conduct or support field-based activities such as construction coordination, site inspections, and project reviews with clients.
Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; assist in preparing proposals and supporting contract negotiations.
Support and collaborate with senior leadership to foster and grow strong client relationships throughout the region.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering/science discipline.
5+ years of design engineering experience, particularly on municipal, utility, and infrastructure projects in Central Texas.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas.
Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
